It seems that the AF camera is capable of a better sensor than the GH3 - it's a bigger box, has more room for improved processing, and is a dedicated video camera. Another thread has shown a prototype Panasonic 4k sensor in what is essentially a 170 body... I personally don't care at this point about 4K, it would be overkill for anything I do, and frankly for most people as well - grading in post shouldn't be the goal - an improved image out of the camera should be..
An improved sensor with a true 10 bit output, maybe even an affordable proprietary Panasonic external P2 recorder, seems very realistic. By now they certainly know it's what is needed, and hopefully Panasonic will put their R&D energy into something like that instead of a (ridiculous in my opinion) 4k pro-sumer camera.
