Nothing can record 1080/60p through HD-SDI. It is not possible.

Barry, is this the full extent of AVC2.0? I've been wondering what it entailed.

AVCHD 2.0 adds 1080/50p and 1080/60p. It also has provisions for 3D, but that wouldn't apply here because the AF100 isn't a 3D camera.

And I guess regular recording at 1080/60p results in a loss of light (is it a stop?), just as overcranking does?

Depends on your shutter speed. If you're using 1/60, there's no additional light loss as compared to 1080/60i.

Depends on what version of HDMI you're using. I don't know if the AF100/AC160 series can support 1080/60p through the HDMI, but I would seriously doubt it.
