Hey guys,

I wanted to share a music video I shot for Little Tybee called "Boxcar Fair". We shot this in one take, with an AF-100 and a Cooke 18-100mm T.3 lens.

Ill be writing up a blog post about this production and I will be sure to post it on this thread. Meanwhile, enjoy and thanks for watching:

Holy crap. That was beyond amazing. Would love to see some making of stuff if you have it.

How many takes did you guys do before you were satisfied? How many people worked on thi at once? Zoom lens and focus pulling? Geez. Was someone moving the light as the puppet walked along? This looks extremely technical.

Very nice. How many passes did you do? Thats a tough shoot, and very well choreographed. You all should be very happy with your effort.

Really, really nicely done!

Love the pools of light, and the Cooke looks great- perfect zooms every time!

Lookf forward to details in the blog!

We shot about 30 takes in half a day, and this was take 19. Designing the lighting was a challenge, but we didn't have to move any sources during the take. We used a dolly on a 48-foot track which gave us pneumatic vertical control as well. The entire project was designed and directed by Brock Scott (who is also the lead singer and ended up pulling focus) and artist Tom Haney. We had an excellent team of puppeteers, who were able to monitor the framing during the take with wireless monitors as well as a projection of the feed on a screen behind me. After the shoot, we did a performance for an audience with the band playing the song live, which was amazing.
