Sandisk still making the Extreme III?

May I ask why you need the fastest cards? They cost a ton more for a little more headroom. IMHO for compressed video you will never swamp the bandwith of 90 MB/s - that's almost uncompressed LOL. I have the extreme ( 60 MB/s ) running at with a nanoflash at 280 megabits/s ( about 35 MB/s) and never had a problem. The data rate of the nano at the highest setting is 5 times what a Canon 5D may do recording video without the hack. Trying to understand what your needs are and if it is stability - you may not need the fastest. You may get your stability with the slightly slower media.

Without looking, I didn't realize the Extreme is now rated at 60MB/S, which far exceeds my Extreme III's 30MB/s.
When did they update their product line, must have been within the past year?

I see the Vincent Laforet uses Lexars, are users getting good results with these?

I've gotten a few buffer warnings with my Kingstons so it's time to uprade.
