Worst person you ever dealt with (Spin off from worst job thread)

This can be a anybody in your past work life, personal life, etc.

I remember a supervisor at an audio production house I worked for. He pulled me into his office one day due to a mistake I had made. He yelled at me at the top of his lungs for 10 minutes about how I was the sorryiest excuse of an employee He felt I was, and on and on.
I wanted to crawl under my chair and go into a fetal position, it was so bad. I heard cuss words I had never heard before.

Our offices had taken over 3 suites in a building, so we had LOTS of square footage. After my tongue lashing, a CS Rep that worked all the way at the end of the office, told me he could hear every word quite clearly through the closed door at his desk.

One of my best friend's ex-girlfriends. We now affectionately refer to her as Hellcat Death B****. Mean... and I mean MEAN... self centered, selfish, rude, obnoxious, manipulative, catty, overly emotional, incredibly lazy, ugly, and a lousy cook. This is a woman who once went into a club and, wearing a super tight top with a neckline almost down to her belly button and tight snakeskin pants... did I mention she was 5'2" and 180lbs?... complained constantly about guys looking at her boobs.

I once felt bad about constantly talking bad about her, so I decided to sit down and think of something good about her. After an hour I gave up. She was the definition of an evil girlfriend. I'm just glad she wasn't mine :)

Now that you mention it...

I was a volunteer at the local Humane Society a few years ago.
The lady at the front desk, if I can call her that, hated animals and people. The other staff were great though. I myself, love animals.

I used to work in the 'barn' as they called it. People browsing would ask me questions sometimes and I often had to refer them to the front desk. Some would reply "we don't want to talk to her" with a smile. I'd smile back. (a.k.a I understand)

I hope she's gone now.

I'll skip specifics but she was an asses ass.

I had a shoot about two years ago when I was helping out a friend. She told me that I would just be operating and that she's bringing in a "highly experienced" DP to work on the project. When I showed up on set there was about 15 extras milling around, a ton of lighting equipments stacked in a corner and nobody knew what was going on. After waiting around for 45 minutes past call time and nobody was setting anything up I ended up grabbing the equipments and light the shot myself.

The shoot went on until about 2 am and by that point I'd just assumed that the original DP had dropped out. When it was time to set up for the last shot, all the extras had left except for one guy. He's been there from the beginning and was even in the background for some of the shots so I thought that he was just another extra. This guy walked up to me, tilted the light that I was setting up about 45 degree, turned off one of the bank, then turn to me and said "This is called a half-Kino configuration," and then walked away.

It's only at that point that I realized that THIS guy was the DP that my friend was talking about. I would have punched him out if I weren't so completely stun by the douchebaggery on display. Up until that point we've been shooting for over eight hours on a set that was in complete chaos since we were so badly shorthanded, and he's been literally sitting on his ass the whole time. Only when we were almost done did he bother to come help, and then only to lecture me with a useless bit of information. Unbelievable.

I was working on my film last weekend, and one person just refused to do what I said until I repeated it like 11 times, and even then, he never wanted to do ANYTHING alone. I told him to tape garbage bags over the windows while I set up the lights, it took me 10 minutes to convince him to put a prop gun (which he found, had nothing to do with the scene) down and do his job (eventually took it by force).

I'm just a film student, but c'mon: everyone else did exactly what they were supposed to do, made jokes while doing it to have fun, but it all got done. We all did an even amount of work. Just because I was the so-called "director" doesn't mean I bossed people around (it just meant I had to pay for everyone's lunch). At one point, I even did his job because he didn't want to stand on a pile of boxes to hold the boom pole. In fact, he even went onto the roof to smoke (1. he's not of legal age to buy tobacco, and 2. we were on school property, a big no-no). It was a group project, so we all had many jobs, but he just kept fooling around the ENTIRE time. He hindered the process rather than aided it. I mean, I wasn't angry at him, just disappointed but I kept it to myself. We got the shots we needed, and better than I expected, so I was ok with it afterwards.

If this is a class project, I'd talk to the teacher if he keeps that behavior up. You guys shouldn't have to cover his rear end, and he's never going to learn to pull his own weight if people pull his weight for him.

For anyone who's worked local newscasts, it's probably one of the on-camera "talent" who wins this one. When I was directing, it was a pompous sports director who thought the shows & crew revolved around his little playground. He finally did himself in with alcohol-fueled episodes off the job.
On the other hand, I've been married to a newscaster for 22 years. Maybe the key was we never worked together.

When I worked in the Target returns section, one middle aged lady tried to return a broken blender that looked like it was thrown down the stairs and torn apart by her dog.

I dunno Target's policy now, but back then, Target wouldn't accept items damaged by obvious negligence. When I said we couldn't take it back, she yelled at me at the top of her lungs, calling me ugly, fat (I was actually super thin), and an f'n loser. It took everything I had to not call her an ugly old hag in return.

Troy Germano. The Owner's son and the Manager at The Hit Factory NYC. He was 4 foot tall tyrant. The worst person I have ever met, just evil to the core. Hate is a strong word with me and I have truly HATED 2 people my entire life and he was one of them.

The other was the neighborhood bully back in PA. I did not work for him but just thinking about him pissed me off so here is the story.

He hit me in the face with a brick when I about 10. And in return I set his entire front porch on fire, which then spread to the entire lower level. Everyone was home and I just stood there and waited for the police to come. I wanted him to know I did it. The only reason I did not go to jail is because I was 10. We got into it again after that and I whipped his ass to the point of exhaustion. It was a legendary and brutal playground fight that my friends still talk about to this day. In the end, I won and he still has scar on his cheek.

The CEO of this internet portal company for whom I once worked. The lying. The sleaze. The yuck-yuck-in-your-face oiliness of the guy. The mistress (who was of course made an 'Executive Vice President'). The leased-by-the-company roadster. Classic.

Well, actually, the back story: before that, he was CEO of a company that sold collectors' memorabilia. That company folded under flying allegations and court findings of fraud, embezzlement, etc but as it happened this guy cashed out and left *just* before everything fell apart...

...so to begin with, it's not an internet portal company, even, it's an independent film production company selling the whole low-budget-sci-fi-to-cable-and-video model. They take a whole bunch of investors' money before deciding - without informing the investors - that right now (1999-2000) the internet is the New Hotness and they just take the loot and make an 'internet startup' with it - doubtless because those were better buzzwords for attracting more capital, than 'independent sci-fi movie.'

So now I'm designing a web site - not my thing, but sure, why not - and somehow they've laid hands upon all of these old 3/4" and 1" tapes of shows like Land of the Lost and Flash Gordon serials and Night of the Living Dead and stuff like that. And those are being streamed off the site. Along with this just gods-awful sci-fi-fantasy pilot made by one of the Senior Vice Presidents. Starring his obnoxious, no-talent, twelve-year-old son. Another one of his inspirations: add our production company name and logo to the end of absolutely every last bit of media we stream, 'to impress the investors.'

Over time the company's aims and identity shift and change, now an internet portal company, now a publishing company, now a production company, now a telecommunications company. And it later comes out that at no point were any of the entities legally and properly constituted in such a way as to have any business selling investment instruments, in the state in which this all transpired (or any place else, either).

And without further excruciating detail that could fill pages, it was your basic Ponzi scheme and in the end there were irate investors and thick court filings and weaselly plea bargains and impositions of millions of $$$ in fines and restitution and stern admonitions that staying out of prison meant never serving as officer of a corporation ever again - although some of the same characters resurface, playing essentially the same game further down the road elsewhere.

Sent me running back into the warm fold of the production business, it did. Never set foot outside, again.

Hmmm, that name is familiar, LOL, I bet there are a few people we may know in common.

Man, I bartended for 10 years and still do on occasion. I Could bust out one of these stories every day for probably a month.... I should just start a Bartenders Venting Forum or write a book.

You should make a film about this!

you beat his ass, you killed his dog, and you set his house on fire while his entire family was in it.

can i change my vote to richard?

A Designer in Lebanon named M.F. was just plain weird. this guy wouldn't stop talking about nothing. (I swear they're his initials)

French producer named E.C. wanted us to change several elements in a project we were working on and was appalled and shocked that we refused a production offer from her, as we were the first to say no i think, as middle easterners shouldn't say no to a frenh producer it seems, proceeded to ban us from funding at the CNC using her strings, and demanded we write a letter to them stating we lied to a french company.

We said we don't change our scripts and animations for any amount of cash, as we never needed the cash to do this. This drove her mad it seems.

Stuff I never heard off, was handled really badly on her part, we called her on all of it, and managed to preserve a good standing with the CNC due to the fact that she went around production without presenting us with lots of paperwork, and had signed for us, which she did.

This was two years ago dammit. Wow.

She chalked up the fight to guess what, a cultural difference.

And, last but not least, my 3D teacher in college in paris, said i would never graduate from university, would wind up a 'failure on the street'. That still hurts.

Three worst people I had to bear for a set period of time.
