HPX250: USB Bus Power

i was just reading this thread and i'm wondering if the usb bus power on the HPX250 can be used to power the transmitter ?

I don't think this is possible. The USB port isn't active during camera mode. I just tried plugging in a GoPro to see if the HPX250 would charge it, and it won't.

Well I wouldn't do it. Not worth damaging the motherboard to power a device. Most likely it might work but it wouldn't be worth it to me and my camera. I would use an external battery like 4 AA and a small resistor to drop down to 5 volts.
