I don't know about anyone else, but it seems like a Jack Bauer (character from 24) movie... Even in the trailer he is yelling 'Do it Now!' and 'Put the gun down'

Doesn't seem like a real big stretch for good old Keiffer.

i thought the same thing. i saw the trailer and was like "a 24 movie?!?!" still with kiefer's stretch in mind overall it looks like a good film. they had an ex Secret Service agent on set to train them. he said that the look of the Secret Service in the movie is as real as it can be without being the real thing.

That's exactly what I thought, but it still looks good.
 
i saw this last night. It was very good. It was shot very good, it really made you feel like you were in the action at points. Acting was great (even though I was always thinking it was Jack Bauer..) Douglas was great, Longoria was alright... Kim Basinger was great as well. I liked the movie a lot, it isnt my favorite of 06 but it may be up on the top 10 at the end of the year, we'll have to see.
 
Just got back from seeing this film and I really liked it! It didn't feel like a long episode of 24 at all! Kiefer was a very supporting character, and he toned down his intensity a lot for this role. Douglas was excellent and I really liked seeing how the Secret Service stuff happens. It's so organized. Good film.
 
Just got back. It was pretty good. Eva is really hot. I thought there might be a ticking clock a few times.
 
Just saw this recently. It actually had some good stuff - actors and plot. The rest of the movie was mediocre.

The director was an annoying one for sure. A Tony Scott wannabe without the chops. For the first 1/2 of the movie I wanted to take away his zoom lense. "Enough with the snap zooms mate. I get it. Exciting stuff is happening". Except he used snap zooms in prosaic conversations too. I think he missed the class on camera movement and motivation.

Cinematography was laughable for a budget of that size. When you colour correct a film so for most of the film the actors look like Orange oompah loompah's, then someone's got some splaining to do. I threw up my hands in frustration when there was a wide shot of them going across the bridge in a car, and the water was purple and the bridge green. What exactly is that underscoring in the story ? And since when did cc not have to have anything to do with the story ? The good news is the poor Tony Scott imitation stuff calmed down in the 3rd act. Maybe the director stopped wetting his pants by then ?








PS- I spend too much time on this site. Through most of the movie I kept mumbling "NBC coulda' done this better". Referring to N**Shooter now known as RezFactor's thriller directing skillz. :beer:
