roganFILMs presents....

This thread alone was worth making this film for.

I dont know, as soon as I watched it I went back through to see your intention before reading all the other posts.

A brain fart maybe, but I think a valid brain fart in the sense that it gave us a look at you outside the box for a moment. I think it was also a valid experiment, there are elements of this piece that could be incorporated to work in a well thought out piece.

Its kind of like when we are alone and talk to ourselves, that conversation isnt meant to be heard. Now Im just going to slowly back away.

This film is almost a self portrait in some ways...My brain goes one direction then randomly and whenever it wants to turns a 180 and goes 402 mph in the other direction.

Just ask anyone that really knows me outside the threads...

Rogan

Well next time Im in the states youre the man Ill be looking for to have a beer or ten. Also kind of got that when I viewed your quoted quotes and saw you included the file error one.

simple, not awful - not great. It was mundane. Watched it again recently... I think it could have used more bears in tutus.

Dude, what have you been smokin'?:Drogar-Smoke(DBG):

I haven't seen any of your past films but you obviously have some aptitude with a camera. I would like to see the energy and expressiveness of this film applied to a serious work, THAT film would have real potential. THIS film is just .

But hey, some people like that sort of thing...

Hey Rog,

I need to watch this one again (and again), but seems I've downloaded a bad file and now I cannot open any more films at all.

From what I did see ...

shi*load of potential here, and truly one-of-a-kind approach to film that made this both intriguing and fun to watch. Art House meets Leary for discussions of the mundane, and maybe a little acid over beer.

As others have said, this could use some structure to tie it all together. As is, it feels like one of those really cool dreams you wake from before it's finished, and you spend all day trying to make up an ending.

Always like your work.

aw

I've changed my mind: I hate you. And your little arthouse film. And your little panasonic lumix. Now buy me a kolache and all will be forgiven.

I may even like your movie again if you buy me 2 kolaches....

Thanks guys for watching and commenting. I promise this is the last "weird" Rogan film you'll see (i hope...i can't control it sometimes...just happens)

Rogan

ps Rodney...i hate you too, you're like a bad case of jock itch...that just wont go away...no matter how many creams are rubbed on...sh*t this is turning weird...gg

Drat, I try REALLY hard not to read comments before I post my thoughts, but then I peaked & saw a few on here that you had something to say about this at the beginning of the thread, maybe you should have had a disclaimer, etc. So, then it kind of set me up to question the potential of the film, just before I watched it.

That said, I don't think it could have influenced me much after seeing it anyway. I honestly can't say it's BAD, because art is subjective and what some people hate, others will LOVE. Just the way art is, and no way to argue it ... just all about opinions.

I felt like at the end of this that I should snap my fingers over & over, like they may at some snooty underground poetry reading room, where the artist raves on about something nobody but the most cerebral would understand & connect with.

But, I would have been the fool sitting in the corner of the room, slack jawed with drool leaking out of the side of my mouth, not having a CLUE what it was I just experienced, or what it was supposed to mean.

I take it this was an experimental film, more art house type of stuff. If there was a story, I missed it ... other than the guy realized life was mundane, lost his marbles, and decided to do everything in an extraordinary way.

All that said, I REALLY dug the title, and I was looking forward to seeing this one.

THanks Norm!

Art or Crap, the experience alone on this film was refreshing. and if we learn something from making movies we've done something right? well I've probably learned more doing this one than i have the others combined.

Rogan

oh ps...you made it on my fancy quote thingy in my signature :D

Dustin you have nothing on Stan Brakhage. A nice attempt at experimental filmmaking. This may not be the fest to be best with this film. If anything, I got a kick out of it.

Brandon, thanks for watching...and don't worry you didn't miss anything. If you guys only knew...thats all I will say.

Rogan,

I give you a lot of credit for being willing to accept honest critiques. I give you more credit for saying that you recognize that it's time for you to really put in some serious effort and that you'll "knock our socks off" the next time. Looking forward to seeing what you can do, my man.

(here's a quote or 2 you could use)

It's like you worked harder on the f--king banner, WTF!!!!

It's like a big middle finger... right up my nose!

Well atleast you know which end of the camera points at people... I think

(no but seriously, I loved it, so farking anti-establishment, you Rock bro!)

Dustin, please don't promise to stop making "weird" films. I think "weird" is right up your alley... Just don't be afraid to put some real time and effort into the next one, and weird or not, I think it will really surprise people - in a good way.

Thanks for watching guys, I am a weird individual once outta my shell. I'm declaring that my next film won't be with my ass and all its glory, or some weird "artsy fartsy" piece. I will put everything I have into it, and not just shoot anything. This film was more a test on my part to see how fast I can shoot something and venture into the "experimental" side of myself, if that makes sense. And to see exactly what kind of responses I'd get from it, ie ass kissing or shooting it to me straight, which some of you have, and thats what I was looking for. For those that have the type of mind that looks at a painting and sees something besides random strokes Thanks for looking at my film as more than just me not taking the time to focus on something.

I realize when I submitted it that I was opening the door to critics, I wouldn't have done it if I didn't want you guys to bash the hell out of me, trust me. I bruise easy :D

plus, when I do make something, this is the last thing you remember me making...and I can definatly do better than this :D

Thanks again for watching

I agree with Will here for sure.
