Hello guys, I'd like to introduce you my first documentary film, "Homage to Sokurov".
Description: This movie is an homage that actually pays tribute to and honors to the director Aleksandr Sokurov. The narrator should be Sokurov himself, both “Oriental Elegy” and “Dolce” were filmed in Japan, looking for the past of the Japan. In this movie the novel “Ward n.6” by Anton Čechov is a metaphor for Cultural Loss of Japanese people, in particular of the old Japanese men and woman. So the hospital of the novel “Ward n.6” is an archetype of the people survived at the World War II, unfortunately losing a better vision of the future.Older tradition seems more oriented to fashion, not integrated into the Japanese future. Some of the footage are repeated more the once during the movie to develop new meaning for the viewer.
It's available on Amazon Prime Video USA and UK, just search "Homage to Sokurov" by Danilo Del Tufo.
It's an experimental movie, and my first full length documentary movie.
I suppose I can't give your the links, so just search the database.
I hope someone will watch it, it's also selected as Award Winner from the International Festival of Triloka.
Let me know in the comments if you find it and watch it!
Thanks for attention,
Best Regarfs,
Danilo Del Tufo
