More footage?

I remember seeing somewhere that RED would release some more (outside) footage after the screening in LA. When can we expect that?

I would really like to see some outside footage. Havent seen any yet. Don´t care if its H264 or some other nice compressed codec. Just seeing some moving images keeps me alive.

Please Jim or Greame, could you encode some mini videos? 640x360 or so?
Thanks for the ride though!

I recall someone on the red team, maybe Jim saying that they would have a variety of shots available once the "real" form-factor prototype was assembled and working (late December-ish?), as opposed to "frankie" which apparently has a lot of trailing cables and equipment.

I think it is best to wait for footage from our 1st assembled camera. We'll be able to present a much broader selection of lighting conditions at that point.

I completely understand, though it would've been nice to see the outdoors footage you've got stills from on the website.

Since all the reservation holders put down hard earned money on faith, and since the reservations are now closed, we would prefer to have a bit of development time before we show the next round of images. As stated before, the 1st camera goes together in December.

I fully understand that you have to focus on fine tuning the camera, but would it be possible to see motion picture of the green screen footage that D.Stump shot. a 12 frames uncompressed and redcode would be nice to test keying.

Thanks.

With 5 weeks until the end of the year, and holidays in there too, I'd be surprised if we see or hear much from the RED team in the meantime. Can you imagine how much of a challenge it must be to get the beta units together?

Given that Graeme Nattress has mentioned that the Redcode program has changed significantly since that test, it doesn't seem very worthwhile to revisit that footage- more relevant to get the new stuff, once it's ready.

"The material exists, but as REDCODE is in rapid development, I don't see the point of keep posting up every little change I make. I'll be making more changes soon, so let's wait a bit." (from Graeme)

I understand that it doesn't worth compare the actual redcode, as it is still in dev, but the material on cinamtography.net are only stills iamges, and keying still image does not show how it works on motion pictures...

Thanks Jim for answearing to this one again. You are completely right, I shouldn't have asked that here....and try a post on cinematography.net....wait and see I get an answear there.
