For any of you interested in asking any questions pertaining to lighting technique, I would like to offer free advice. I am a 20 year film and television veteran and I enjoy helping folks learn. I can't be on this board all the time, so simply ask you to e-mail me questions pertaining to lighting and production technique. Email me at walter@bluesky-web.com. If you want to read a few of my articles on production and lighting technique including interview set-ups, how to build dimmers and fluorescent lights, and other goodies visit my instruction page at

www.bluesky-web.com/instruction.html

and scroll down to the bottom of the page.

Re: Lighting help offered free!

The few of your articles I previously found in the net were very instructional for me. Thanks for the good work, and specially for showing up and sharing!

Describe more of what you want to achieve, the space in terms of size etc and anything you can tell me.

Re: Lighting help offered free!

If I'm not mistaken, Walter is located in NYC. If you go to his web site, you can subscribe to his Lighting Newsletter - $15 for 12 issues. I seem to remember that you can view a sample newsletter before subscribing. As a subscriber myself, I can say it's certainly worth $1.25 per issue.

While you're there, check out some of Walter's other articles under "Instruction" (right hand column, main page). My favorite is a description of his lighting kit. You won't believe how much gear you can get in a single Kata bag. Have a look:

Oh, and welcome aboard Walter. I know you spend a lot of time on other, similar sites, but DVXuser is the best of the best whether or not you actually use a DVX.

Thanks for the kind words. I do own a DVX100A.

Re: Lighting help offered free!

Thanks Walter. The set-up diagrams showing the lamp positions really help.

Re: Lighting help offered free!

Let's see... we have Walter Graff the lighting maestro. Walter Murch the sound and editing genuis. Walter Matthau actor extroadinare. And then there's "little" Walter. So many Walters, so little time. Just found this forum tonight. It's awesome!

Re: Lighting help offered free!
