Recently during the last week before horrorfest I filmed a movie for my brothers english class. They are reading about King Arthur and he wanted to do a Monty Python type spoof. So he wrote up a pretty good story and we filmed it in one day. It took me about 48 hours straight to edit and get it in before the deadline, but everyone seems to like it so I guess it was worth it.

Heres some screen grabs from it if you'd care to take a gander. I'd post the movie somewhere but its pretty long....though I think I'll cut a trailer for it eventually.

Let me know what you think.

In the beginning we had a narration about King Arthur being ruler of the land, and that things were well.

He then decides to visit his old mentor Merlin who has been rumored to have gone mad deep within the forest.

Merlin advises King Arthur to visit the lady of the lake....there he will find the only sword worthy of a King. They journey a great distance and finally arrive at the lake of Chalen.

The Lady of the Lake gives Arthur Excalibur and they head back towards Camelot. Apon returning they discover that Arthurs half crazed inbred son Mordred has taken over the Kingdom.

There is a great conflict between the armys of Arthur and Mordred (approx. 5 people total)

In the end Arthur kills Mordred and is mortally wounded himself. Lancelot carries him back to the Lake of Chalen and he goes accross the water with the Lady of the Lake....and thats the end.

Well....sorry I took up so much space there. If these are all too big someone let me know and I'll resize them.

lol not too big man.

looks really fun :) would love to make some sort of production that has that epic feeling to it.

i enjoy the overblown shots with the white diffusion. but i wonder how much more detail you could get with a more exposed shot, then CC'ed to achieve something somewhat similar.

Thats ok. The grabs look great! Especially the bit where they were in the cabin. How'd you light that? The grab of mordred looks a bit soft too though...

it was alot of fun to make. I'd like to do another one sometime and spend alot more time on it. Your probably right about getting more resolution with better exposure. For all the lake scenes i wanted it to look mystical so i kept it kind of overexposed...probably a mistake, but it worked out ok-ish

Malcom the setting that looks like a cabin is actually a hayloft in our barn. Theres a high window behind and to the left that sunlight was streaming in. The light pointing at them was a 5 dollar hardware store floodlight. For the most part I was lucky to have some interesting availible light.
