I'm going to being filming my next commercial soon

I plan on filming a coffee shop soon for a commercial as a freelancer. I will only have 4 camera shots in the entire thing. A medium camera shot of the lead ordering coffee, a medium of the cashier selling the coffee, a wide timelapse of the coffee being made, and a wide of the shop. I'm hoping to get this done soon if all goes to plan. I'll only be using a 28-70mm F/2.8, a Canon T2i, an Audiotechnica microphone, a Tripod with a fluid head, a video monitor, and a light stand with a Comer 900 LED light.

The plot is that an office worker is tired, but fortunately he's at a coffee shop to get woken up by a fresh brewed cup of coffee, so that he can get ready for the day.

What's the coffee shop? Are you open to workshopping concepts? Coffee as a means to simply make it to the awful corporate job is pretty depressing!

Hmmm true, true. Maybe if I just make it a casual dude it'll be alright instead. Though this commercial kind of has my idea:

That commercial was back in the 2000s pre-industrial revolution...maybe check out some of their more updated work:

On second thought I'm going to stick to the office worker idea. It fits within my budget. Added there are barely any creatives in my area. Majority of people in my area are welders and car factory workers, and old people. Most of them are just interested in watching sports and Fox News.

Here is the script:
medium camera shot Office worker: -yawning-
over the shoulder medium camera shot Cashier: "Need coffee?"
wide camera shot of coffee being made and camera shot of the store Cashier: "Ready to pep you up, we have freshly grounded beans roasted to make your coffee! So come on down at (coffee shop) to get your coffee!"

when’s the shoot? Are you open to hearing a pitch? Below isn’t the pitch, just a few ideas.

Can you replace the office cuck looking like a zombie with a salt of the earth, blue collar welder/farmer etc. and tweak the cashier performance, which likely won’t be strong? Saying coffee can wake you up doesn’t mean anything - everyone knows this. The quality elements you mention are good.

Shoot the same over the shoulder shots but instead of dialogue (no sound), it’s smiles from the cashier and the recipient excited to get the most important part of their daily ritual. Not recording sound and keeping the performance requirements within reach of non-actors will let you focus on fewer moving parts.

Look at the old 5 hour energy vs now (norbro link) - it’s gone from putting a Band-Aid on a grim situation to being an aid to help live a positive life.

These minor tweaks could make a big difference.

I'll replace the office cuck with a blue collar worker, but everything else stays. Filming is to be done really fast for this one, so that I can let people go back to their day.
