Horrorfest- VOTING INSTRUCTIONS!

Brandon Rice

Distributed Producer
Hey all, here are the instructions on voting this time.

INSTRUCTIONS

To vote you must have 100 posts OR a film in competition. Filmmakers with less than 100 posts must include their username and the name of their film in the body of their email when submitting ballots.

Get the Excel ballot file: www.dvxuser4.com/horrorfest/ballot.xls

Vote for the movies you view (hopefully all of them) by putting a number in each category. The highest is 10, lowest is 1.

Save your ballot file as Username-ballot.xls (example: JarredLand-ballot.xls).

All ballots must be sent in to contact@dvxuser.com

SUBMISSION DEADLINE is Friday the 13th (October 13) you must have your ballot in by midnight (PST), thanks!

CHANGES FOR THIS FESTIVAL

We made a few changes to the ballot this time. We combined lighting and cinematography into one category, and we created the editing category.

We also made the VFX (Visual Effects) category not count toward each films averaged total score.

I hope all of this makes sense, please ask any questions about voting here, and I'll do my best to answer all of them.

THE FILMS ARE ONLINE! FROM JARRED'S POST!

Think when voting people...please! :)

One example i can think of is giving a low score on "Sound" since its seperate from "Score" i can see sound being confused when in the voting, if the sound works, then its good, if its distracting then bad. if theres literally only 1 sound effect in the movie, no dialouge or nothing, but it WORKS, then thats a good score...janowatImeen?

If Anyone Has Downloaded The Ballot, Please Redownload It

I have made a few changes, including adding a film that was missing... thanks!

Ooh, cool.. there's a little drop down window that tallies your scores! Good thing I clepped out of Excel Class back in College. *shew*

So, what's the deal with VFX then? Is that just a rating to know how we can do better or how well the VFX were used? I think its a good thing not to include that because some films do not have them this round.

can't wait to watch!

Brandon,

It looks like the average (Overall Rating) isn't calced for Cynic821?

And there's this film titled "Into the Darkness" that has a X10 multiplier for some reason?

JUST KIDDING... Thanks for doing this!
