It looks like you have Another Day listed twice.

Jeremy - It should be two different tracks.

Oops, the first time I saw it it was in a different format (I didn't know it was a player) but now it looks and... sounds great.:)

Great scores Herman. I was happy to hear some Armenian Duduk in there. You always bring something fresh to the table.

Herman,
Just wanted to say I really liked what you did for Threading the Needle. The suspense at the end when he performed his "actions" (trying not to give too much away) was really built up by your music. Nice.

And Katrina, wow. Fit that movie perfectly. The that groovy drum beat in there is great.

Herman,

Awesome job on all of the music. I am so impressed with the caliber of music that you produced for all of the films in such a short period. I love your use of unique instruments and your ability to create memorable music. A lot of composers make great music but yours really stands out and stays in ones head for quite awhile. I find myself humming your tunes at work some days.

At the Park: (Our film) Thank you so much for adding just the right touches and working with us to make it just right. I loved how the music drove the story along. I loved Abbey's Theme. It reminded me a bit of John Williams' in the fact that it has a clear hook that one will surely remember. The Parade of Ewoks comes to mind. The Chase was great. I don't even have words.

Another Day: Very somber and sad but with a hint of happiness. Excellent.

Katrina: This is perhaps some of the best music in film. I felt it complimented the story flawlessly. From the bass line to that funky drum beat to the horns. A very sexy work of music.

Threading the Needle: How you built the tension and excitement at the end of the film was second to none. The plane sequence was amazing. The accents when the plane passes the turbines, wonderful. The Downward Spiral is one of the best emotional pieces I have heard.

Keep up the good work.

Herman, your scores are so incredible. All of them!!! I am so proud to have your contribution in our film. Well done! Well done!

Thanks for all the comments! It's been great working on all of these fest films, and I'm glad to hear that the work is appreciated :)

Jon - Thx for the detailed comments!

Aaron - Did you score any other films besides Eighteen seconds?

herman.. "Threading the Needle" from TTN was badass! I remember watching the visuals to that film and saying, "Hells ya. music is kickin and buildin' up". The Chase and final from @ the park was also really cool. Love the fact you use live instrumentation within your music. Makes me want to invest in something besides my computer microphone. :)

Aaron. Your one film... You chose wisely! Loved what you did for it.

We should have a thread and list with everyone's music. There's some really great music that came from the fest.. (and some bad ones)(imo) . Aaron. Are you game for sharing your MP3?
