"Cry For Help", 2004

Just dug through pics from a short I shot 20 years ago, on my DVX100 with Mini35. Thought the folks here might enjoy these. Interestingly, neither of the Steadicams pictured were my current rig at the time--I have no idea why I was on borrowed rigs (an XCS and an early Steadicam Flyer).

The last one makes me laugh. Had no shoulder rig or onboard monitor for the Mini35 setup at the time, so for handheld shots I had to hold it awkwardly in front of me to see the flipout screen. After this shoot I started building a nice tidy setup that remedied all of that.

The sales "brochure" I made for the Mini35 package when I sold it in 2008. I put a ton of design work into that system and it worked really well! But ironically, I think I only used it for a project or two. Can't remember what I got for it all, but I do feel bad for whoever bought it, because a year after this the 5DMKII came out and the Mini35's devalued instantly.

I bought the Letus groud glass monster about a week before the 5d came out. Then gave it away!

I have a DJI 'go pro' (no mods) and it is a very 'serious' thing which I use 'professionally' - I wonder if I would have gone 'steadi' if such thinkgs would have been available at the time.
