35mm adapter rig photos

yep!
here is my little diy rig, with my diy spinning adapter, diy follow focus, a Cinecity rods support and a hdmi lilliput lcd.
the screen is not in the right place here, it should be on the other side. in fact the screen or the ff can stay on the right or the left side.

and a video from it : http://vimeo.com/13335359

Thanks Wayne!
there is an EOS mount below the rear cap (the mount comes from an EOS macro tube), so i can unmount it if i want.
i'ts useless i know, was just for the details.

Now I just need to build my lens hood and barn doors...

A few more pics of my HMC40 Letus Rig. I used a philips seatback dvd player screen. It came with the master dvd player and slave screen for the second seat, Plilips thought they were slick and tried to rewire the 3.5mm plug so a standard a/v 3.5mm composite cord wouldn't work. Yep, I watched all 7 seasons of Macgyver... it seems that the video signal was going through the red audio cord, only the signal's polarity was reversed... so I cut the yellow RCA end, and the red RCA end, swapped them and flipped the wires on the formerly red wire, giving me a picture on my monitor... then $45 for an external battery.

As you can see, The yellow and red wire were cut. Switched the red and yellow RCA tips and switched the positive and negative wires on what used to be the red wire to get the signal to go into the Philips dvd player slave monitor. I added a few pics of my new battery I got for$45 from Pine electronics... it has switchable voltage5.5v, 9v and 12v(the monitor takes 9-12v) and powers from a mini usb. the battery has multiple tips for connecting to various devices, it even has a female usb for iphone/ipod charging.

Its a modified Indisystem sport compact. The sport compact is a great product but I added my own touch to it. I machined some extra parts to make it fit my needs. Most importantly comfortblitity. Its just a shoulder mount thats very balanced and easy on the arms.

I just finished adding the controller for REC. / etc. around the handle so that i dont have to reach over the top of the cam. Its quick point and shoot now.

Trying to save up for the EZFX , i want to shoot with a crane as much as i can. There are sooo many different ways to shoot with these.

I think i sent Tim some finished pics. Maybe hell start pumping some of these configurations out to people if enough ask.

thanks,
Chris

I'm more on the "budgetless" side of this, but here's mine:

Not very up-to-date, but that's pretty much all DIY.

Don't have a photo with the matte box or follow focus on, this is just my Avatar pic.

But there it is anyway, Sony EX3 with Redrock M3. Click on the image for a larger view.

It's a Redrock Shoulder Rig using Nikon Primes and that's a SmallHD DP1x if anyone is interested.

Wow, I really dig the DIY budget rig. Shows a lot of commitment, kudos.
Thanks! (sorry for the late reply!)
Saved me a lot of money doing it myself. Not as practical as commercial rigs, but once everything's set, it works like a charm. I have update it a little bit since:

Single handle, 1/4-20 screw that pass through the first block:
_MG_8996.JPG

Both the camcorder and the adapter are held in place with the same 1/4-20 screw through the blocks, those blocks screwed with allen screws:

The handle is tightened in place by screwing it on the 1/4-20 bolt:

Not the most professional rig, but didn't cost much and it's quite solid (made with Corian ABS plastic). The rods are standards aluminium 3/8 ones.

My Panasonic HMC40 with a CAM35 & Nikon 18-55mm
Nice, do you have any footage from it? I always wondered about these cam35 adapter. What I've shot using the adapter can be seen here (shot mostly using the adapter).
