Why has no one come out with a reasonably price (even an expensive) generic media player to play 4K video files on any 4K TV, as was made available for HD files?
I'm happy with this latest iteration.
The DP4 is mounted directly to the YAW L bracket with a tie wrap. The DP4 is light, the YAW motor seems to be handling it ok.
There is a shelf on the L bracket that the DP4 weight rests on. I removed the battery plate from back of DP4 to slim it down...
Here is the Tekkeon battery attached, set at 12 V.
The Tekkeon case has a 1/4-20 female thread on the bottom for attaching to the usual subjects.
Heavier, which can be good or bad. Can always use my left hand for more support.
Software reads 11.5 volts running off gimbal battery, goes to...
On my attempt to put the N4000 on a Merlin arm/vest, I replaced the quick release plate with a ball mount to regain some tilt functionality. Will probably shorten the glidecam adapter post a lot, and add some significant weight under the ball mount to smooth movement out.
More comments:
1. With no second pin locking the position of the camera to the tilt bracket, knocks on the lens rotates the camera out of roll balance all the time, so I am trying a tie wrap around the lens looped through the slots on the base.
2. One of the four allen head screws...
Here we are with the assembly on a Merlin vest/arm. Used a Glidecam adapter post drilled and tapped on top with a 1/4-20 stud.
Can add more weight if needed by added a second big fat L battery on the back of the DP4.
No real need for the vest/arm probably other than smoothing out...
I tie wrapped an end weight from my Merlin to the back to get better yaw balance, with much better gimbal behavior as a result.
With all the holes available, I can see running a big carriage bolt through the back, and be able to twirl a big heavy nut on it to dial in a very accurate and easily...
I got a ribbon HDMI cable, and found I couldn't get anything to work using the above monitor mounting method (the view of the monitor was not always ideal, and the cable tugged and disturbed the gimbal too much).
So far I have come up with this, a Manfrotto quick release mounted to the base of...
Done, beeps are gone, here is the tip they provided. I downloaded the software, luckily I had the USB cable needed, and windows 7 automatically found the driver needed to make the connection.
They just sent this message out to previous buyers. Not sure of the import of the message, but wanted to mention to note that they are involved with their customers. I have beef with Sony that they don't keep track of their customers by camera and don't send out camera specific notices, about...
New thin twist knob installed, old knob pictured beside it. I just ended up with a perfect alignment that caused a slight contact, the worst kind because it wasn't evident that something was hitting, but hitting enough to disrupt things.
The ACM-18 adapter for 1/2" bayonet lenses previously included with the PMW-EX3 is not included with the PMW-300. I cannot find it for sale anywhere new, and few are available on ebay. I am really confused by the lack of availability of this item.
Has anyone ever gotten to the point where they never get this message?
If so, please provide your hardware description.
I have fed it a lot of expensive hardware, with minimal benefit.
Thanks.
1) Is this currently being manufactured? Adorama has it for sale still, but B&H does not (they say "no longer available").
2) If it is discontinued, why was it discontinued. Has anything replaced it?
3) Is firmware 1.2 the latest? I don't see any others.
4) Correct me if I am wrong, but...
Hi, Eric. I saw in another post you made on the internet, that they made a change to the bottom recently. Does the attached photo reflect that change? Thanks.
Less than $20 for parts:
6" 1/4X20 hx hd full threaded bolt (don't know if6" will work but the 5" bolt I used was barely long enough)--EDIT: 6" is a little too long, you would have to cut it off)
1/4X20 hex nut (one)--edit: quantity 2
1/4X20 square nuts
5/8"X2-1/8" hex coupler
1/4X20 lock...
