@Ken1212, here's how the Camtree light looks out-of-doors. These were taken under a small awning at 11am with full sun. The first shot, without the LED light, is at 1/50, f4, 400ISO, 6500K on my Panasonic G7, the second and third are with the LED switched on, full power, 6' to my left. Shot...
Here are a few first impressions. Build quality of these lights (LED housing, yolk, barn-doors, etc) seems fine. There is a slot for the sturdy filters - those slide in and out fairly easily. The cable from the 15V power supply to the DIN plug is 2', so the power brick will either dangle or...
I'm using a PanLeica 14-50mm f2.8-3.5 and an Olympus 50-200mm f2.8-3.5 four thirds lenses on my Panasonic G7, via a DMW-MA1 adapter.
Using the latest Panasonic Image App, I have wi-fi remote control of focus on both lenses, but control of aperture only on the 50-200mm. When I attach the...
Given that the G6 has 1080P60 and peaking, I've been tempted to replace my GH2.
Spent this afternoon comparing the two cameras, and wanted to mention two findings I had not seen mentioned.
1) On the GH2, highlight blinkies are "live", and thus useful for adjusting exposure before you shoot. On...
Can someone who has used both cameras comment on whether there are differences in the appearance and/or functioning of focus peaking on a GH4 versus a G6?
Thanks in advance!
Here's photos taken using my GH2 with the Sigma 50-150mm and Vivitar 70-150mm, both at 150mm f4. The slight vignetting on my Sigma (which is worst at 150mm, less at 50mm) is a non-issue on the smaller GH3/GH4 sensor.

Vivitar:
Edit: added a pic of the two lenses:
Sure - please see below. (Sorry it took me so long to do this). These shots are all taken with the Speed-booster set 1 click down on the aperture ring - exposure was adjusted so the center of each frame was at 75% zebra. I didn't try stopping the lens way down, but from wide open through the...
I have a big silly grin on my face tonight, as my Nikon-G to MFT Speedbooster arrived and I've been having lots of fun with the several lenses I have at hand. Which got me wondering whether anyone is maintaining a list of which DX-type lenses do or don't vignette on the AF-100?
For example...
I'd like to start using my Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 (1200g) on my AF-100, usually on a HDV501 tripod head, but sometime swopping to the 561BHDV head on my video monopod (= same quick release plate on both).
Any simple, robust "no frills" recommendations? I dont need follow-focus, and the lens has...
Can anyone comment on how this Sigma 24mm does for video on a GH camera? Better yet how the image compares to the Samyang 24 f1.4? I've read that Sigma is sharper in the center but (on full frame) softer on the edges.
Not fussed about the different focus styles - as a point of reference I...
If any GH2 users have thoughts on this, please join the conversation: http://www.dvxuser.com/V6/showthread.php?316112-AF100-GH2-Cineform-codec-and-109-IRE-clamping&p=1986380717#post1986380717
Until recently I have been shooting with my GH2, converting the MTS files to Cineform avi using Cineform Neo 5.5.1. build 323, and editing in Premiere CS6. If I inspect my footage in the YCWaveform display, the raw MTS and the transcoded avi look identical, with overexposed highlights sitting...
The Rokinon is quite a bit wider - 5.5mm-ish, perhaps? In the composite below (click the thumbnail if necessary), the first image is the Rokinon, the second is the Rokinon defished with Fisheye-Hemi, and the third is the Lumix at 7mm. This is on a GH2 in 16:9 mode - on an AF100 or G6 the FOV...
Just checking - am I correct in understanding that neither the focus bar nor red peaking can be sent to an external monitor? I've read that, but I would hate to discover a year from now that there was in fact a way to do it that I've missed.
Thanks.
I'm interested in using a Sigma 30mm f1.4 on my GH2, focussing manually. I've read that the HSM versions (i.e. Canon and Nikon mounts) are similar to Lumix lenses in that they turn continuously, rather than having a hard stop at infinity.
If that is correct (for both the older and newer...
I don't have any decent video to post as yet, but here are some "before and after" stills to give you an idea of the distortion correction possibilities. These are all done using Fisheye-Hemi in Photoshop - they all are resized so that will have impacted their resolution.
My Rokinon 7.5mm arrived recently, and I've had good success defishing my still images using Hugin http://hugin.sourceforge.net/
I've spent a while this evening on Google investigating defishing video footage shot with the lens on my GH2, and there do seem to be options (avisynth plugins, etc)...
