1) Does the panasonic BT-LH80 8" monitor work as a monitor for the 7D?
2) I know the Tokina 11-16 2.8 is popular for the 7D, but I have a Nikon 12-24 already, has anybody used this Nikon lens on a 7D? I know the f2.8 vs f4 is a big bonus, but beyond that, can the 12-24 Nikon work?
Thanks

To all 500 users,
A documentary/infomercial for the 2010 ROUSH MUSTANG called 'The Art of Performance Engineering' has just started airing on SPEED CHANNEL. Two episodes aired tonight, July 20th, and another will air tomorrow July 21 at 8:00AM ET. (future episodes might happen but I'm only...
How well would the 500 cut with the 300?
I just shot 1/2 of a TV doc on a new mustang at a track in Texas (on the HPX500) and I need to shoot the next 1/2 soon. I was considering buying the 500 for such jobs but the 300 is attractive (price and native 1080).
At the track I wasn't on the...
Out of the blue, log and capture isn't working. I'm running 6.0.4. I've been using P2 cards forever, and it's always worked fine in log and capture. But now when I click 'add clip to queue' or 'add selection to queue' it adds it, but it doesn't start importing it to a quicktime file. It just...
DVDSP is giving me 'HVDVD_TS folder found in Build Location' error message. I know what that is, it's HD DVD content. But it's nowhere on my computer. I even searched for it. I'm just burning a simple SD DVD.
What on earth gives? I need this DVD to work and I'm ready to give up and go iDVD...
2 questions:
1. How much better is it to make a Standard Definition DVD from DVDSP than iDVD? Does it actually look a ton better? -or does DVDSP just have more options for customization?
2. Is it better to pull in a separate video and audio track to make a DVD in Studio Pro, (compressor 90...
I'm working with 6.0.3.
I'm editing a project, and every once in a while, I like to save the current timeline, so I'll copy the whole project and create a new sequence and make new changes.
But for some reason when I copy and paste a timeline into another sequence, it doesn't do it exactly...
I get this 'REC WARNING ERROR' message when I put in my 16GB card.
The card is empty.
No old footage on it.
It was literally working one moment, and now it's not.
I searched for a thread on this error but didn't find any.
Any help would be appreciated.
I just finished this video of RJ de Vera who customized a Stock Mustang GT for Valvoline.http://www.kargesmedia.com/Valvoline_ONLINE_RJ.mov
They're giving this car away at the end of the year.
Lemme know what you think. It's a little big so sorry if slow to load up. 51MB.
if you shot with a vid rate of 59.97, and you pull it into a 23.97 timeline, wondering what that does technically to the 59.97 footage and then how it will look played back..?
Since I've heard it cuts so well together, I'd love to see a side-by-side comparison of the HVX200 and the HPX500. Especially in low light. That would be cool.
Anybody have any?
I'm considering buying at HPX500 and all the goodies that will have to go with it. I have an HVX and know they will work well together, but I can't believe they threw the same LCD monitor on the HPX. I know I won't use it MOST of the time, but for some stuff I'm shooting I may not be hooked up...
I'm shooting a Mustang build out starting tomorrow. If anyone owns a HPX500 and/or are a stedicam (merlin even-any kind) operator, I'd like to hire you for a one day shoot. (more days to follow but rest of schedule is TBD)
We shoot starting tomorrow in Anaheim California.
