I am working on an avid system at uni but need to edit at home as well. I only have Premiere Pro, CS3 at home - no avid. The media files have been saved as .mxf but my Premiere Pro wont import them.
Any way to work around this?
I need to develop a film that pays homage to the works and stylistic techniques of Quintin Tarantino. It's a high school film studies class and the film needs to be 4 minutes in length.
What are some ideas for a homage to Tarantino? Budget = $0 so expensive sets/locations/chase scenes etc are...
Are there any programs out there that let you (reasonably easily) make your own music? For example; I want to create music by selecting different types of music and adding them on different tracks.
OR;
Are there any royalty free music websites?
It just sucks when trying to upload videos only...
Perhaps I am just a very poor high school student, however, I am curious how you can afford to finance your short films (not features).
For example; I only have access to my DCR-TRV22E which is a cheap handycam that the family bought.
Do you just invest a lot of your savings in to a...
Well, here is my short film for my film&TV class. It's by no means great!
Not really happy with the color grading... but I had to hand it in today and didn't have time to fix it up.

Shot on a Sony DCR-TRV22E (not exactly the best piece of camera...
I have made a new widescreen project in Premiere Pro 2. It has a pixel aspect ratio of 1.422.
Now, I want to import it in to After Effects 7 for some basic colour grading. When I do, the whole picture is out of wack, it looses it's widescreen'ness
And then when I export my After Effects 7 video...
I made my project in Premiere although now I am wanting to add some colour correcting. Export and then burn it to DVD.
What should be settings be to achieve the same "widescreen'ness" in AE as it is in Premiere?
I left settings default, however, the frame size seems to be at a different ratio...
Not my film. I'm just compiling the films for our awards night. I think this is a very good film for 15-16year olds to do (especially the first 2 minutes as they had different people doing the camera work roughly every two minutes).
It's their first short film. They use basic Panasonic video...
James Bogan
I have to create a film for my Film&TV class for school that showcases uniquely Australian stereotypes. I chose the "bogan" (aussie equivalent of a redneck). So along cames Bogan, James Bogan.
I finished the bulk of the filming today. It's nowhere near the quality of most of the...
I am a little lost when it comes to color grading/correcting in After Effects. I can change all the levels, curves, hues etc. However I can never seem to get the quality other users can. :S
Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction
or
Would anyone please be able to do it up in...
Would anyone be able to help me out with these two color correction problems?
1) I have no clue when it comes to color correction!
2) I have shot a film, however, we started shooting at 4pm and finished at 6pm so the lighting is very much different.
What can I do to make these clips a little...
For my film and TV assignment I have to challenge or support stereotypes of Australian males in Australian media texts. (Hooray!)
Here is my idea, it's probably not correct script format or even read like a script! We haven't been taught that - only treatments, of which we weren't required to...
I'm shooting a short film on Monday for my school film&TV assignment.
Our school provides us with Panasonic NV-GS180's.
My family recently purchased a camcorder, Sony DCR-TRV22E
Which would give me the best results for my film? (Don't yell at me, lol, it's the best equipment at my disposal!)...
