Nothing to do with s35 or FF , but all about the price .. yes no complaints about those lenses , drum roll .. because they cost a lot more ! .. thats my pretty obvious point .. is a $2,500 FF /AF zoom lens ,with a sort of manual focus .. it is what its is .. and Ive never had the iris changing...

A true cine zoom will the one that comes to a hard stop , the 28-135 ,its just the nature of fly by wire in manual mode .. its certainly not a "feature " that Sony have supplied from the goodness of their heart on a $2.5K lens

Eh that has never once happened on my zoom.. if you have it set to A on the barrel then any knob / buttons you have set for Iris will change it of course ..if I set it to 4 or 5.6 etc it has never stopped before getting there, or moved from that setting .. user error of faulty lens ?.. its a...

Dont think the feathering is automatic or a "feature " its just because fly by wire .. you do get used not after a while and can judge where it will stop .. not ideal of course ..

No Cant say I have .. Im just saying that the 28-135 is well known to be overly sharp if anything .. so to have 3 be "soft" seems like aq camera setting maybe .. there is an old news shooter .com article showing how sharp the thing is ..

Lenny .. your not shooting in 2k scan are you ..or s35 crop .. 28-135 is a very sharp lens .. too sharp if anything .. I have detail and aperture off with the fx9 ... its very strange you have the same "softness" from 3 of them ..

Ok thanks .. on the fx9 Ive read people saying the camera will die but the battery still has 2 LED lights up.. dont know if thats a "quirk " or the battery is only half empty but for some reason wont power the fx9 35.5 watts .. or what ever it is .. thanks sir ..

Do you mean the idx SB U98 .. BPU style batts .. how inaccurate is the remaining time in the EVF.. apparently Sony wont give out the info to other manufacturers, is it always the same at least when it dies without warning .. thanks

Used a Fs7II the other day at 29.97p so had to set the camera to NTSC area.. but then I needed 1/50th shutter as shooting in 50Hz location.. but no 1/50th ??? only the "NTSC" shutter speeds... surely this cant be the case .. thats like some prosumer camera... what was I doing wrong.. I know...
