I came back after several years to find one particular instructional dvd I knew I could only find here.
Moved over to the dark side ( Sony ) and used mostly YouTube during that time. Also the Sony group on Facebook, but all they do there is try to sell stuff. Zero discussion there, nobody asks...
Came back after a while to look for that "frame rates explained DVD" video. Not sure if it's streaming only now, but I can't find it ( or any of the other old DVDs, books and resources ) Anyone knows?
Not long ago I think you needed dozens of high quality reference photographs from all angles to "train" your AI software. Now it seems, none of that matters. Have a look at this random sample. I'm sure she used other selfies as reference, but trust me, I've seen all her pictures, they're all...
Just one final comment for the Panasonic fanboys here... if P2Viewer is discontinued... does that mean P2 Cards were also discontinued ? So much for a "future-proof" technology ! But in case someone else is still using P2 Cards, WTF will happen to all that metadata functionality now ( Text...
So I dusted off my old P2 Cam after many years to see if I could use it again. Camera is still good, now I wanted to view the clips on my P2 cards on the laptop ( Windows 8 ) As I remember, for a quick view and editing of the MetaData P2 Viewer was the way to go. So after a tedious download and...

In theory, this means more productions scheduled for 2021 and beyond, bigger budgets... more work for all of us filmmakers. In practice... will this happen ?
I know this question has been raised before ( mostly outside of DVXuser ) but it's worth asking again. The consensus at the moment seems to be that no, you can not ( apparently the virus can only survive on surfaces for a short time, although "how long" it's not yet clear and depends on a number...
Been banned twice and after more than 600 posts and some of the longest threads on Cafe ala DVX, my rating is so low I can't even "like" other users' posts. Thank you DVXuser :lipsrseal
I see these at all the major events, sports, concerts, major shows, etc. Most of the time, it's the TV networks that
get to cover these. Not surprising if they can run multi-cam coverage with 4 or 5 of these babies:
How do you get a gig like this? Education? Special training? Luck?
Somebody explain to me why the FS700 is priced a lot lower than the AF103 ? ( on Asia / Australia at least )
I thought even the FS100 was considered as a slightly more advanced camera than the Panny ?
Forgive my ignorance, but... if Flat picture profiles are the norm now.... why do you need Field / Studio monitors?
The final image won't look anything like what you got on location / set. Almost everything is "improved" on the Color correction suite. So how can you "paint with light" these...
Rather than feel sorry for himself , this guy gets a record deal, makes a music video, video goes viral and he's laughing all the way to the bank! I see it and don't believe it!
The lyrics?
Apparently he is talking about his ugliness and accepting that he is ugly. Women are running to his...
Maybe an old question, but... where do you get the "audio module" or whatever its called, for the GH3? The one with XLRs on it. Searched everywhere, can only find one for the GH4.
Example:
Question:
How would you go about making something like this? I counted about 6 different angles on the live performance
and even close ups of members of the public, which looked very good actually. I know it's a music video, so probably the whole thing was set up with Deborah cox...
Not sure if the correct term is "Banding" but here it is:
I am using Sorenson Squeeze 8.5 Pro
The original AVI ( rendered from After Effects ) is a 17.5 Gb file. It's clean , no banding whatsoever, but too large to even play on my computer's hard drive so it needs to be compressed.
I want...
I've been reading about storyboarding, and a lot of the advice focuses on composition, angles, continuity, camera movement and character movement.
Camera movement is indicated by a white arrow apparently , while character movement by a black arrow.
Now, this may seem like a silly question...
Hi guys,
Any idea how to create this amazing puzzle effect without using a 3D program?
I know a few photoshop plug-ins that can do it, but only in 2D. It would be awesome to have the puzzle pieces move in AE while the camera moves around this scene.
