It sounds like your conversion through Shutter may be inconsistent - with the caveat that I don't know exactly what the MRC1 is doing to the video while capturing. I assume it's just capturing exactly what the DVX sends it and wrapping it in AVI, though. PPro should be able to detect and remove...

The DVX did. I could run analog through it and capture as DV from Firewire. Sounds like it works that way with the VX 1000, too.

I get what he's trying to do; he's trying to run analog signal through the VX 1000 so it converts to DV and he can capture it through Firewire. I used to do the same with the DVX.

What software are you using, and it is it the same as what you always used?
