Select the "Go Advanced" button for the post instead of "Post Quic Reply".
When you upload the photo hover over it till you see the pencil in the top left corner.
click it and a box pops up. Select the desired size.
Click save and good to go.
On the upload page it says:

Where do we put the link? The synopsis area is the only place I can think to put it. Where did you put your link, or did you upload a copy?

For the most part I went simple. Mostly a contrast crush, mild desaturation of all but the red channel and a little bluegreen filter.
I like the widescreen overlay. I use gaff tape and a ruler to guesstimate the aspect ratio I'm going to do in post. If I can pick up a monitor that takes the guess work out of it and is accurate (on both color and bars) that would be great.
