Check this out.
When the producers find out that Ink is being massively downloaded, they put a link of their site and ask the downloaders to pay whatever they feel like if they want.
I freely admin that I'm a downloader of films because I live in a region where it's impossible to buy films...
Anyone happen to have a plate of a blizzard (heavy snow fall in a gusty wind)?
I'm helping a local theatre group edit a short film they made, and they need to show a house (already shot) in a snow-storm.
Something like this or this.
It can be CG or a static shot of an existing storm. SD or...
Do these work together?
I installed the new Vegas to a new Windows installation (both 64-bit), but haven't been able to see footage with either the latest Raylight or the Raylight Ultra demo.
There's nothing on the DVFilm site or help forums that indicates whether these work or not.
This is meant to be funny, but I think it does a good job at illuminating story interactions (or at least plotting action.)

What a letdown.
Nothing but irrelevant specs and renders(!?) for products that STILL have no release date.
That was like a big F U to the Red community.
I like Red and what they're doing, but now they're coming off as amateurs.
Anyone else feel the same?
I'm looking for someone to shoot a short interview for a documentary about MIA pilots.
Format is HVX DVCPROHD 720 24P. Style is subject against a simple black background. This is for broadcast on network TV so it must look great.
PM me for details.
Can someone send me a Final Draft 8 .fdx file to play with? I've written an app that displays XML, and want to try it on some real-world docs.
It's for internal use, and won't get published or displayed anywhere.
A 5-10 page short script is perfect.

Thanks to "social media", there's plenty of ways for people to unknowingly make fools of themselves and give a glimpse into their psyche and private lives.
Right now my favourites are:
Twitter
Overheard in New York
and
Ask Metafilter
A gander at these sites gives lots of ideas for quirks and...
Has anyone seen anything like these "scriptcasts" by John August?
I find them an amazing learning tool, and want more.
Unfortunately Youtube has only seminars which do nothing for me. I want to see editing-in-action. Anything else like this floating around?
We're doing a show that requires six in-car cameras (three cameras in two cars), and the footage will be matched with two HPX170s.
They need to be small, as all three will sit on the dash -- and there isn't a lot of room there.
I was looking at the new Canons, but don't know how well they...
I don't watch TV (not that I'm able to), but I need to catch up on what's going on the the world of television documentary series (the type shown on the Discovery and NatGeo channels, etc.)
Docs that are more fun than serious. I'm completely out of the loop.
I'm interested in...
I need a someone to read some lines in French. There's about a minute of dialogue. The voice should sound sophisticated and suave. A native French-speaker is preferred.
They should be able to record their own lines with a good quality mic in a quiet environment, and email HQ mp3s.
Send me an...
