I've been using lpowell's flow motion patch, and the quality and stability is great, but I repeatedly get some odd compression artifacts in the blacks of images or in areas that are large spaces of a single color (walls, tables, etc.). They are diagonal, thin artifacts that are slightly brighter...
I would like to know if hacking my GH2 with an I-frame only hack would improve performance when editing in Premiere Pro, and if so what patch would everyone recommend for such a hack?
Hi everyone. I edit on Avid usually and I need to give a client footage that they'll edit on Corel. What's the best format to encode it to? I have Sorenson Squeeze so I can encode to virtually every file format except ProRes.
Which AVCHD mode on the GH2 achieves 30 fps at 1080p? I can't quite figure it out. 24H is 1080p24 and FSH is interlaced... And I hate interlacing with a passion.
I apologize if many others are asking this same question but I've perused the forum and can't figure out which hack settings to use. I'm upgrading from my GH1 to a GH2 and I'd like to hack it. I'm very familiar with all of lpowell's patches for the GH1 but have little knowledge of the GH2. I'd...
What, if any, micro 4/3 adapters are available that offer autofocus? I know there's a Canon EF adapter, but I'm hoping for a lens mount that can have AF controlled by the camera, with an adapter that is hundred and hundreds of dollars. I really don't mind manual focus, but if there's an...
Thank you! Yeah we didn't have time to do any ADR :(
I have an 8-foot slider I built so we put one end down the staircase and the other at the top of the stairs. This is me operating it:
Short film "Led Astray" - A girl's last cry for help takes an unexpected turn.
Take a look at my newest short. 2.5 minutes long. Criticism and honest suggestions for improvement would be greatly appreciated. This is my second film.
I just finished producing a short film on my GH1s. It's 2.5 minutes long, and I would greatly appreciate it if you could watch and give me constructive criticism. This is my second short film, and I like how it turned out, but I know I have room to improve, so please let me know what you think...
I'm looking for the highest visual quality, most stabile GH1 MJPEG 720p30 4:2:2 settings. I'm currently using the Blackout-Powell patch for AVCHD but I'd like to know what the best MJPEG options are, because if I need to shoot something quickly for the news, MJPEG is a faster FCP workflow than...
I found a few lenses in my grandpa's attic, one of them is a Zeiss lens. I'm wondering if you can help me determine whether this is the nice Zeiss glass that the company is known for, and I need help finding an adapter to use on a GH1.
The front of the lens is marked "Carl Zeiss Planar 1.4/50...
I use a shoulder support with my GH1 currently, and I've loved its performance, but it's dying a slow and painful death, so I need to replace it. What shoulder mounts have you used and liked, or would you recommend? Inexpensive ones would be nice, but it still needs to be very durable...
I've been using the GH13 extensively since I got my first body in September 2010. I use it mostly for professional and just-for-fun video work, and I only take photos with it if I need to use something for a motion graphic or just for a fun family photo. So essentially, I'm not really used to...
A man's day seems to get continually worse, but the day's end makes it all worth it.
Since this is my first short, it was a learning experience, so constructive criticism is welcome and would be appreciated. There are plenty of things I'd do differently next time, but I think it turned out...
A man's day seems to get continually worse, but the day's end makes it all worth it.
This is my first film so I'd appreciate constructive criticism. Please take the 5 minutes to watch it and let me know what you think. It's streaming from Vimeo in 1080p so you may need to let it buffer a bit...
I'm posting my short film here. I would very much appreciate constructive criticism as to how to improve for my next short. Please don't concern yourself too much with pixel peeping, I think the visual quality of the sort turned out well. Also, it is streaming from Vimeo in 1080p so you may have...
I've been told that stable 1080p30 has never been achieved for the MJPEG mode of the GH1. I've also been told that the frame rate can be changed to very low rates like 2fps for timelapses. If you lower the frame rate that far, could the frame size be scaled up to 1920x1080 and still be stabile...
