That is correct. 4K license key will be available from Sony and then there will be an unlock procedure. Price is $500. I've just tested a pre-release version of the 2.0 firmware + UHD. The UHD does look good of course keeping in mind that like XAVC-L on the FS7, it is still 8-bit 4:2:0. I am not certain of the release date of the 4K (soon I'm certain) and even if I did know, my NDA wouldn't allow me to say. Whether it is worth $500 to you is your own subject determination. Sony points out to me that this brings to price of the camera + upgrade to $2495 which is comparable to other UHD cameras with similar specs
