We used two EX1s, one EX3 with the Fuji 8XS wide angle lens, and one Canon HF-S200 (un-manned, perched in the shell on an 11" tripod for the conductor cam).
All three XDCams were run by full-time operators.
Back stage, we have the MOTU 896, feeding a Sony laptop with Vegas as the DAW.
100' of Belden FlexSnake 6-channel cable connects the MOTU to our proprietary controlled-pattern surround sound mic array, sitting 18' above the 4th row, center.
No processing of any kind was used. The full dynamic range of the performance was maintained, all the way from the solo violin in Scheherezade, to the whip crack in Sleighride.
We put an EX1 at each end of the balcony and the EX3 at stage right, right behind the plasterline.
      Best regards,
      Mark & Mary Ann Weiss
