2 soft lights a good starter kit ?

Had a long conversation with somebody today and he kind of concluded that 2 softlights and 1 fresnel would definitely be a good starting point for a lighting kit for corporate videos, interviews and even a small indie setup.

I just wanna get everybody's opinion in this.
