? about Alzo ballasts

I have a couple of Mighty Moles, great instruments, but "power intensive." I have found a source for Metal Halide globes that will fit the existing double end socket and they are rated at 1000 watts /5500 degree.
I would like to know if anyone here owns the Alzo ballasts that sell for $125.00 US with bulb.
I would liek to know if they are noisy and if they are rated strictly to 800 watts.
Obviously if they are not , it would be very nice to pop a new globe in the Mighty Moles and plug them into the ballast and not throw breakers anymore.

I'd be concerned with UV output without a UV glass in front of the globes. Some globes have built-in UV protection.

Also, what would you use for a balalst?

What is the link to the source, I'd be interested in checking that out too.

is the ling to the pdf. Have you ever worked with the ALZO ballast? I was considering someof theballasts used for acquarium lighting, the globes they use are also interesting. But what I really want is a simple turnkey soloution for the Moles hta won't involve changing sockets etc.

No sh_t and I am on the road a 5am tomorrow morning for a 500 km drive and a 2 day shoot. GOt the mono pod, tripod, dolly, a flask of Jamesons, and I hope some Irish luck. I loaded out my gear today and posted a pic at the cafe...so much for run and gun.
