Lady in the water - day for night

Nights new film "Lady in the Water" is a great example of day for night. Done very well - you can see its being done if you look for it but done well. They did that so that the actors wouldnt be awake all night with sleepy energy.

Also they shot most of it without rim lighting - creates a soft and very unconventional feel to the shots. Very nice to look at

        sick

It's also hard to pay attention to those kind of details when the movie was absolutely atrocious. Possibly the worst movie i think i've seen. I wasnt expecting it to be good, but i had to see for my self. Cinematography was good (in parts). Shows that arrogant *******s who cast themselves and play characters who will "save the universe in the future" will ultimately have downfall. SIXTH SENSE was a fluke. One hit wonder director. The whole theater was laughing throughout the whole movie, was it supposed to be funny?

        Sorry for the rant!

I wholeheartedly disagree - i think people are forgetting that it is a fairy tale - a different genre and therefore should feel different.

          Night is a genius IMHO

            no

I agree with what Ebert said:

" It's a movie that insists on the importance of fairy-tale mythology and storytelling that doesn't respect the integrity of mythology or know how to tell a story. "
