Hey everyone
I'm wondering about ND gels to be used on windows. Obviously, ND alone cuts lights by set amounts of stops: .15=1/2 Stop, .3=1 stop, .6=2 stop etc. But what I'm wondering about is when they are mixed with CTO, is it the loss of the ND plus the loss of the CTO (i.e. 2 stop loss for ND.6 plus the 2/3 stop loss for CTO, a total of almost 3 stops lost) or do the gel manufacturers tone down the ND strength in these gels so that the new gel combination loses only 2 stops total? Thanks for any answers or hunches.
Peace,
-Harry
