I have one of those stands. That stand along with two standard Avenger baby steel are part of my standard location package. The only reason to own one is to have a more adaptable stand when you are entering a location in which you don't know what you might need for lighting and only have room for a couple of stands. It can act as a quick t-bone, baby boom, or baby steel stand. For example, you thought you were just going to be throwing up low kicker but you suddenly decide that you actually want a hair light. They work as perfectly decent baby steel stands, but they are slightly taller and bulkier than the equivalent standard baby steel.

Not an 8 x 8, but has anyone had their hands on one of the Falcon Eyes cr b1520?

Can you remove the tube in the middle of the frame?
        Can you change the textile?

It’s the same design(probably the exact same thing out of the exact same Asian factory, just different branding) as the Intellytech fast frames. The middle bar is part of the support system that keeps it locked in position. Remove that and it will collapse back on itself. I have mixed experience/feelings with them. When I bought the Intellytech Mega a few years ago, it came with one of those frames, because thats what it mounts to. The frame that shipped with it, was unfortunately too small, by just a little bit(mistake from the manufacturer), but it was rock solid. They replaced it with the proper sized frame and even locked into position, it’s floppy and jiggly/wiggly. So, the QC on them is probably not the best. If you get a good one, it’s solid, if not, it’s junk. I actually sent them a video comparing the two and they told me the larger frame that flopped around was just fine…

Ok thanks for the information Run&Gun !

With the middle bar it's not really for shooting through for diffusion/grids, as you never know if it will cause a weird shadow.
Or am I wrong thinking that?
