    Urban Snowboarding Lighting

    Hey Y'all,
Me and my crew are starting to do more urban snowboarding, which is generally at night. So Im curious of some of the better, yet not overly expensive lights out there( Tungsten Flood lights, I think) I was hoping there were some that were like, power cord less and you charged them at home or something because either carrying a generator or finding an outlet will be a pain in the ass after a while I assume. Any suggestions?

Here's a video of a skateboard filmer that uses LED panels, actually works pretty good it seems. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypcaOgbv5Yc#t=0

Not a whole lot of options that are self powered, portable, bright enough, and affordable. You'll be making compromises on at least one of those requirements. Figure out what's the most important part of that equation and go from there. Tugsten lights like Lowell and Arri's are great versatile lights, but they need power and lots of it. Even a lot of the small portable generators will strain to keep these going. The plus side is that they're really useful for everything other than snowboarding. LED lights can be self powered, but they're going to cost more for anything close to the same amount of light.
The other thing to consider is how quickly you can grab all that stuff and leave if the cops come by to kick you out, or how bummed you're going to be when someone slides out on the landing and knocks one over.
