share patterns for softbox lights

I would love to find a pattern for a main light soft box. they are so spendie I see them here on line but no patterns ...... so anyone know of any patterns for lights like this.

A pattern for a softbox ???? Not very effective. Those who need /use them, often just get a strip light or oval or even just a circle, to contain the output and provide a smaller "footprint of light". Not really a "cookie pattern" so to speak.... Are you looking to project a pattern, or just shape the light ?

looking to soften the light up, this should be in still photography not video ,my bad

Doesn't matter where you post this... a softbox already softens light up. If you get a big softbox then they often have a second, internal and removable diffusion panel... so you're shooting through TWO silks... 'aint gonna' get much softer then that.

If you still need more soft then pop on a pro-mist filter... or rub some vaseline around the edges of a cheap UV or clear filter.

Finally... anybody who bought a softbox and didn't buy the eggcrate... you are missing out on more then HALF the value of that softbox through supreme control. Westcott and Photoflex make the best softbox value for the dollar... and Photoflex makes BY FAR the best eggcrate value for the dollar... and the Photoflex eggcrate fits in either brand of softbox.
