You don't have two USB ports on your Mac?

Two eSATA cables, one from each port on the drive.

I literally laughed out loud when you wrote: And please provide the links to what you ordered because you can't be trusted anymore.

I do have 2 USB inputs on my iMac. So my computer will just see it as one drive when I connect the two USB cables? That's awesome.

        I bought...

Cable Matters 3-Pack 4 Pin Molex to Dual SATA Power Y-Cable Adapter- 6 Inches
        https://amzn.to/3efG8Go

USB 3.0 to IDE/SATA Converter Hard Drive Adapter with Power Switch for 2.5"/3.5"SATA HDD/SSD & IDE HDD Drives Optical Drive, Support 6TB, Include 12V 2A Power Adapter & USB 3.0 Cable:

        AC Adapter For G-Tech G-Drive Q 500GB 913003-01 908112-01 GDQ 35/500 0G00012 HDD:

I'm just joshing with you...but you still need two eSata to USB cables. Those are for Port 1 and Port 2.

          https://www.amazon.com/StarTech-com-.../dp/B00LD2FKOK

          ___

Cancel the first link. And you'll most likely be able to return the adapter (don't open it yet if you haven't).

Because if you have the power cable to the G-TECH and 2 eSATA cables then it's exactly what they would have included with the product and you don't need anything else. I would have recommended this from the beginning if I knew there were 2 drives in a RAID in this enclosure. Otherwise a $20 adapter for one would have been fine and enough.

As far as what your computer sees, we'll see.

            I ordered 2 of these:

StarTech.com 3 ft USB 3.0 to eSATA Adapter - 6 Gbps USB to HDD/SSD/ODD Converter - Hard Drive to USB Cable (USB3S2ESATA3)
            https://amzn.to/2Slc3N7

            and I cancelled this:
Cable Matters 3-Pack 4 Pin Molex to Dual SATA Power Y-Cable Adapter- 6 Inches
            https://amzn.to/3efG8Go

            I'll return this:
USB 3.0 to IDE/SATA Converter Hard Drive Adapter with Power Switch for 2.5"/3.5"SATA HDD/SSD & IDE HDD Drives Optical Drive, Support 6TB, Include 12V 2A Power Adapter & USB 3.0 Cable:
            https://amzn.to/3aZ8nXU

I don't mind being this specific. It prevents mistakes and I truly appreciate you helping me with this!

Well, I am now obsessed with you figuring this out, so I'm in it until the end!

The above is all correct, BUT that adapter may come in handy in the future...I would hold onto it until this is all solved.

It worked. The eBay power supply powered the drive. The 2 Sata to USB cables connected to the drive and then to the back of the computer. When I booted up my iMac, it saw the two raid zero drives as one drive and I was able to move the data to a much newer drive. Thank you so much for helping me figure this out!

I do not have enough skills to help you, but I will follow this thread to see what solution finally helped. I sometimes find myself in different situation where technical advice is needed. And in many cases, I could find response online. I am from https://worldpostalcode.com/united-states/texas/, and I really appreciate that people help each other in this way. It works perfectly.

                          5 / 20 / 2021 was the last post.....

Did the drive explode and kill the guy?

Did he short something out and lose all the data???

Did he google the part number, get the needed parts and realize he just burned up 6 pages of dvxuser and $64 to get old 1440I HDV footy from an fx1.
