    Extracting Audio from AVI files.

I need to find a good way to extract audio from AVI files on PC. I have tried with no success at all with Blaze Pro Media. If Windows media can do it I can't figure out how. I need the files for alternate takes to be used in Pro Tools. Driving me nuts, if any one can help it would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Adobe Audition can do it. Any NLE should be able to do it by loading the clip and exporting the audio.

Here's an app I found on Afterdawn.com that may do the job:

That gives me some ideas. I am trying to do this without having to load it into an NLE, the reason being that I don't really have the access that I need to do so. What I need is an app that I can put on my audio computer and extract what I need.

Thank you for the ideas, please keep them coming.
