    CS 5.5 or 6?

Should I get CS 5.5 or wait till 6 comes out?

That depends. What are you using now? How soon do you need to have the software in the suite?

The other thing to consider...is the price right now! adobe is offering a 50% discount on production premium right now. Buying CS5.5 and then upgrading to CS6 when it comes out (which wont be for awhile because 5.5 hasn't been out that long) is still cheaper than waiting and buying CS6 at full price when it comes out.

CS 6 will be out in 2012. it will cost you at least $ 1,800. If you buy the current offer and then upgrade I am sure that it will be less than the usuall full price/

In the wake of FCP X, I'd be surprised if they kept to the current price schedule. I expect that there will be a fairly noticeable drop in the price for the suite, and that the price of Premiere alone will drop to the $300-500 range.
Post production is not an afterthought!
