    MAGIC BULlet useful????

    Hey,

I bought my camera outside the states. So we get screwed with no magic bullet.

Does this program have anything that FCP doesn't- is it worth the buy?

    Curious.

    THANKS

I can along fine without it but having it makes certain things simpler.
Occasionally second hand copies pop up here. I'd scope out a deal before paying full fare.

you can easily emulate the images of the Magic Bullet presets

just using "Colour Correction" in PPro 1.5, I can copy all of the presets

only thing useful in MB in my opinion is the special functions or effects.. like adding grain, flicker, or scratches

Honestly, since I got Celluloid (available for Vegas only), I rarely use MB. It's too much of a resource pig.

It takes too phucken long to render! You can acheive the same if not exact looks with using just your standard filters, ex: levels, brit& contrast, color balance, etc.

I like mb. It does take a while to render (especially for the special effects) but the time it takes to render saves me time in the long run by facilitating the whole color correcting process. Plus if you have any academic connections you can get 100 dollars off by going to Academic Superstore.

i like to use it for real specific looks and when im too lazy to use FC's color corrector, still MB can give you cool looks for which you would have to be a pro at color correcting
