Anyone here used Pinnacle?

I have a friend who is celebrating his 50th wedding anniversary and they are renewing their wedding vows. He asked if I would shoot some footage for him and he would edit it himself on Pinnacle. I know nothing about this NLE so I was wondering how that program would work with 24p. What about 30p?

It depends on what software it is. If he has the newer version of Liquid (which is now made by Avid) then it might do progessive (it's just a guess though, you should check on that to make sure). If he is using an older version of Liquid or even Studio (which is consumer based) then I highly doubt any progessive footage will work. I'd asked him what software it is and what version, but odds are you will need to shoot it in 60i.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure it's consumer grade software since he's not involved in filmmaking at all. You're probably right that I'll need to shoot in 60i.
