OTHER: HPX 370 - no pwer output at 12v DC out jack

I have an HPX 250 and an HPX 370...Great cameras.

I recently inherited 2 more HPX 370s and both are not outputting power at the 12v 1.5a DC jack on the rear of the camera (the one I had in posession does just fine). I have combed through the menu looking for perhaps a seyting whereby I could enable this jack. Is there such a setting or did the previous owner maybe do something that damaged these jacks?

    Any input is much appreciated.

    Best, Jeff

I have never see any full-shoulder mount Panasonic cam (even their higher end broadcast line) that has the ability to turn on/off its Hiroshi 4-pin power output. It is always on. Looks like a internal blown fuse due to overload OR it was shorted due to incorrect wiring to the load(s).

That was my thoughts exactly with regard to the hirose (12v) power always on. As for the overload or incorrect wiring, we are using Datavideo TLM-700 HD monitors with Hirose to DC connector cables specific to they application. There really shouldn't be any issue with overload or incorrect wiring.

That monitor has pulls 18watts, which means that you are right at the very top of the available power from that port. 12 volts X 1.5 amps = 18 watts

Most likely the Hirose ports have burned out fuses. Any decent camera rental house should be able to replace them, but it is not something to do yourself. You have to open up the camera and sometimes these fuses are soldered onto the board.

There is a chance that you're lucky enough to have one of the cameras that has a breaker reset button on the bottom near the back. It's been awhile and I can't recall which manufacturers and models have these, but I doubt this camera does.
