    Is 294 Hours alot?

    Hi All,

Am considering buying a DVX200 with 294 hours on it, for €1200 ($1711.00) asumming the cam is in good shape would this be good price with these hours on it? Or is there another meter reading on the cam I should check out too for druim hours perhaps. BTW I'm in PAL land so I dont know if PAL cams generaly come in more expensive than NTSC.

    Thanks

    John

I've got 2100 hours on mine ... working just fine, no plans to replace it.

Have an HVX200 non a for about 6 years now. Never had a single problem. That camera is a workhorse.

Never heard of a DVX200...don't believe it exists.
If you'e talking about a DVX-100B then as of 12-27-11 price seems a little high, but 294 hours is nothing. Check out a used one from B&H, condition 9. You'll have to ask how many hours (probably quite a bit more than 294).
You can also buy it new for $1995.

If you're talking about the HVX200 or 200A, then the price is quite a bit better, but since you are questioning drum hours, it makes me think you are referring to the DVX model.
