    DVC Pro 50 Settings

When shooting DVC Pro 50...since this is n sd signal...does one need to set the camera to "Squeeze Mode" to use the entire chip set?

    Thanks in advance.

Yes. In standard def you can get either 4:3 ("norm" mode) or 16:9 ("squeeze" mode). If you want 16:9 on an HVX, you want to be in "squeeze" mode to use the full surface of the chips.

Thanks Barry...One more question comes to mind.....Once you shoot in HD modes, do you need to worry about normal or squeez mode settings?

Thanks again for this great site.

        HD is always widescreen.

You don't. Those settings don't apply when you go to HD; the choices are disabled because it will automatically be forced to widescreen mode.
