So I got an hvx200. It was a great deal and it all functioned but now I’m trying to offload footage onto my pc which is windows 10 btw and I can’t for the life of me get it to work. It is in USB2.0 mode too by the way. Is this too do with the camera being out of date my pc being too far advanced or what? Or is the USB2.0 port straight up broken, is there anyway I can test the USB 2.0 port? And I’d there anyway to put video files from p2 onto sd as the sd slot works and I have a large amount of sd cards. And time is a bit of an issue as I’m going to be filming a car meet this weekend and I need the full storage space. Any help would be much appreciated!!

Maybe can't use just USB from the camera, might need FireWire too.
You don't have a card reader?

I think you can but I don't remember 100%...it's been like 15 years, haha.
Anything worthy in that thread above?
If there is no OS support troubleshooting then it's just a matter of having the correct settings inside the camera, a good cable, and of course working hardware/ports.
[On a related note: Everything was so archaic back then that you had to sometimes do things in certain steps/order for it to work properly. As long as your cable and camera are functioning well, you should be able to figure out. Maybe also try another computer with Windows 8, and/or download any drivers if applicable, etc.]

I'm also pretty sure you will need to install Panasonic's P2 drivers for Win 10. As I say a bit rusty on all this but these bits of software might get you going.

The current version works for Win 10 by the looks of it. I haven't ingested anything from P2 for maybe 15 years so a bit rusty on the latest developments. I can't believe that you still have to buy this software. In this day and age camera ingest software it should be free. I do notice it is free to use for a 30 day trial period.

I couldn’t find too much useful In that thread but I didn’t look too far through it just a brief glance. And yeah my cable is correct I think my biggest issue is software my camera is I think almost up to date maybe one behind I could try updating that and finding all the proper software for my pc. I’m not gonna give up easily his thing is a huge pain but I think I’ll get through it

Definitely other computing components to establish communication, but I imagine you could import the clips straight into Premiere once everything is recognized, etc.
