Is it ok to rest DVX face down, meaning lens shade down?
Is it ok to rest DVX face down, meaning lens shade down?
Often this is the most convenient and balanced way depending on the shoulder rig and attachments. This causes no lateral stress on the lens mount. What is best practice? Thanks.

Yeah, I have done the same thing a few times, with some trepidation. As long as you put it down gently, I think it's fine. Be sure it has a low probability of tipping over, and if it should tip over.....be sure the fall will be mild!
