One word: SCAM!

No way it's legit, guarantee you his account has been stolen and the perp is using the poor guy's good credit to steal someone's $1400.

It's the classic scam, lot of articles out there about how accounts get stolen, and the #1 thing the perps act like they're selling: Camcorders....

Send him an email, bet he wants to use some sort of fake escrow company.

Totally! Run away! If he responds to you; say you are wary of the money issue and he'll def offer an escrow company.

Sigh, as cute as the commercials are; e-bay freaks me out (as does Amazons Merchant Accounts.)

I've been keeping an eye on these ebay auctions for the DVX100 lately. Every one of these that are in that price range are removed by ebay before the auctions end. Most of the scams seem to be from Europe. It's very tempting, but it'll end up biting you in the ass.

ebay and amazon need to be held accountable and take better care to prevent this fro happening. Did you know? Amazon guarantees all of the transactions EXCEPT FOR TRANSACTIONS BETWEEN MERCHANTS. How convenient.

ebay and amazon should set up an internal escrow account through themselves.
