    Video Goggles for monitoring on set.

    I have no personal experience with any of these - but the S-video output from the DVX is much higher quality than its composite output.  So, that feature is of great value with any monitoring device.
    Most lenses and most cameras are better than most photographers.

    I've used the Sony model of glasses similar to these... but not for monitoring video on set. A friend of mine used to have a pair a couple years ago, and I used them connected to a miniDV camera just for fun, and by the time I got my DVX100 last year and started shooting, he had sold them.. So I wasn't able to try them out as a monitor. But I imagine it would work...
