    AF 100 unique camera

AF100 the best camera in my opinion, the pinnacle of sensor development, it's everything to me. I don't need 4k video and consider it redundant, one of the best cameras that even Panasonic couldn't replace...The f100 gives me everything I want, I'm not interested in new cameras

I can't tell if you're being serious or not, but this thread has definitely brightened my day.

I say my opinion because I work with documentary and short subjects, I don't work with competitive and commercial video, some people want their video to shine or be according to the customer's order, they get stuck in endless competition.

Of course, I personally look for a good and normal video from the beginning, but some people have to keep their work up to date.

If you are happy with what you are getting from it and you aren't trying to go after client work or Netflix programming, then there is no reason to upgrade. You can absolutely use the AF100 to tell a great story.

Thanks, yes, there is no reason to upgrade, because I have enough and I don't need more. The goals of filmmakers are different, some are just entertainment, comedy and commercial, I don't care about netflix and even where the video tecnology is going, I look at the most suitable form for my work, in a computer game the competition of image and pixel is endless It is not a concept, and the concept is pixels and renderings...
It will depend on the subject and the approach.

I'm sure video technology is going down a competitive path, and an independent filmmaker has to decide whether or not to follow suit...

I actually always think about the extreme irony with camera specs/resolution and video games.

They are related but also so distant from each other because social media and commercials and movies keep raising the bar for people's expectations for what good video quality is or should be (very modern clean look, shallow DOF, etc) while some of the most massively successful games in history which were made way past their technological prime are Minecraft, lol.

I still do a lot of network work with the second gen VariCam, which is even older and was released in 2008(!). Have three days of work with six 2700's next week.

I could have sworn that I caught The Raid on Netflix and it was shot with the AF100.

                        AF100 2012 -2013 firmware

Hello Has anyone installed firmware 2012?

One of the important features of the video enhancement version is 28mbps (before that the highest avchd mode was 24mbps). I have two questions ,
                        - The existing bit rate compared to 24mbps, noise quality and is there a difference in IPB frames?
                        - Is the existing firmware only for improving the video quality or are there hidden features such as improving the shutter? Has Panasonic fixed or improved it?

and versions 1.15 and 1.24 are similar quality? which one reduces the possibility of camera bugs and software failures?

                        Thanks fou for any experience.
