    AF 100 Model

I am considering buying an AF100... the camera price seems to be dropping a lot with various new cameras on the market. Is the camera quite robust? I am looking at some second hand cameras. For 1000 dollars it seems like a good video camera. If it is reasonably solid build? I like the look of the sensor and I dont need 4 k. 1080 is fine.

    cheers

Overall, I think people had a good experience with regard to reliability. There was a complaint that has come up more than once that dust specs got on one or more ND filters and that the cost of repair was very high. But with the AF-100's age, I would think any contaminants getting on the NDs would be sorted out by now.

I've had 3 x AF101's, all bought 2nd hand off eBay - never had a problem with any of them in over 6 years of heavy use.

I have my own AF-100 which I use for freelance and one at the office. The office one is used almost every day and in all sorts of environments. Both cameras are still running great. As long as you watch for highlights on skin tones, it's a great camera.
